I am largely self-taught and have been creating artwork for over a decade. My style has developed over the years leading to my current mixed media and digital preference of artwork.
Once I have created a piece, I then digitally enhance it to encapsulate my own interpretation of the art. I feel this enrichment improves the image quality and demonstrates how light can affect the colours in many different ways. Sometimes, the art is enriched further in either pastel or water based paint in my studio.
My main areas of interest are in landscapes, wildlife and pets, with a preference for using rich, bold colours. My passion for bright colours was originally inspired by my love of autumnal landscapes.
Some of my work is created in chalk pastels or pencil, whilst others are from imaginative photographs taken around my home in the countryside or by the sea in Kent.
I also work in black and white or single colour images, all of which I feel produces striking illustrations.
